Dark Hunter Marks and Meanings

So I finally got permission to say a little about the markings so long as i don’t show pictures or describe what mine look like. This is because “The human mind is so creative, it can come up with them on their own.”

So lets begin.

There are five markings in total. At least for the basic markings. These markings enhance powers and abilities by a huge amount in the astral.They are as followed:

  • Mark of Ungodly sight: This allows the wearer to see creatures that are invisible, glamoured, or otherwise hiding their true form. This will even allow one to see Hades when his helm is on and not be effected by the fear aura.
  • Mark of Ungodly Healing: This allows the wearer to constantly heal at an enhanced rate. Think fast healing 10 or 20 in DnD terms. This also prevents poisons and other nasty effects from taking effect inside your body. This includes, or so I am told, vampire bites and werewolf bites. Not going to experiment with that last part.
  • Mark of Ungodly Control: This mark allows the wearer to control their new energies. This also is the fusing mark for the dark energies. In other words, this is what allows the dark hunter to divide by zero with their energies.
  • Mark of Ungodly Strength: This mark allows the wearer to gain strength and powers of pretty much every ungodly creature. This is probably the most addicting of the marks and also the most dangerous.
  • Mark of Ungodly Speed: This is the Black Pearl of Dark hunter marks. This allows the wearer to outrun and out move most ungodly creatures. From what I am told, this mark allows the wearer to outrun the Devil himself, should he be after you.

Now that I have told you all a little about the marks, I must reiterate that these are very dangerous markings and should only be applied by a powerful dark hunter ritual master. Which is to say, no mortal alive should apply these marks on another person.
The word Ungodly used in the mark names means every dark creature that considers themselves enemies of the gods. If you are thinking about getting this done, my advice is don’t. Heaven forbid you get a god complex or other form of fallen ideals or cannot take the marks, your life will turn into a living hell. You will become a monster and creatures will treat you as such. Not to mention that it hurts the soul worse than anything that I can explain. Not even my tormenting times in Hell could have prepared me for that.

More on Over Souls

So I realized that in the last part I explained what you need for an over soul but now how they work.

An Over Soul is something that almost every religion has aquired in different ways. At it’s base it is a spirit’s energies and a human’s energies mixing inside of a physical object.

As stated in the last post, this object is a mutual object that the spirit can relate to. This object, now charged with both the human’s and the spirit’s energies, becomes a tool of empowerment to accomplish a goal.

This has been used in several different methods. Possible the most well known one is actually the Ouija Board, pendulum, or other forms of divination. People do these instinctively, and it is quite simple for the spirits to lend energy through such a manner.
There are other forms of Over Soul in the physical such as charms. Charms carry the spirit or energy of a Soul and the natural energies coming off of humans generates the energy to activate and run the charm.

As you can tell this is not exactly rare for people to do.

Priests do it often. When evoking a specific god through an item, often a staff or wand or athame, the object becomes a conduit for the god to enter and lend it’s energies to the service. This is actually over soul.

In the physical this is one of the most common ways to invoke a being. In the astral, spirit world, dreaming, or other unseen worlds, this can be a bit harder to achieve because of the structure of energy.

Which is where furyoku comes in, apparently. It is a form of energy that can be translated to either Shamanic power  or Floating Power. Both sound like they could be related so I am not going to push this much especially because of how it is used. As I see and understand it. it takes the energy, body, and power of a spirit, transforms it, and them places it over your own skin, having it “Float” with your power.

This made me wonder what qualified one to be the one that becomes the over soul and I learned of some boundries listed below.

  1. Soul in question may not have any living form.
  2. Soul in question may not be tied to any place or being with negative energies(probably due to them being some manner of unwilling)
  3. Soul in question may not try to control the actions of the one wielding the over soul. (this will trigger possession and thus break down the over soul because it is no longer “Floating”)

In the astral, this can be a great weapon to use to protect yourself without using a lot of your own energy. The form of the Over Soul will be something akin to the spirit in question creating a translucent image over your own energies. This will change depending on the item and Soul.

To “activate” the Over soul, you and the soul in question will both have to touch the item, push your energy into it at a natural rate(the spirit will match yours) After a moment of focusing on this, the spirit you are working with will then enter the item and take the form of the Over Soul. After you are use to doing this with a Soul you trust, you can alter the over soul a bit by making it grow or shrink in size, or making the item look like a similar item. While in this state, the Soul you are working with will be able to give you advice and act as a second set of senses, which is very useful when outnumbered or in a tight situation.

 

That is all I really know about Over Souls and Furyoku. Hope it helps people out there.

My remenants during the dark trials.

So I am not allowed to list names, places, marks or what marks do, or really any of the stuff that I really want to put. However I can put down what is left and what is happening to me. On the astral, there are times when the pain is so bad that I black out only to wake up in my physical body hours later. The marks hurt like hell, but make me stronger than most things in hell. Unfortunatly I am still not past the ritual part so there is only so much that I can say about this.

Short version of what is happening is that I am being split down to my core. At first I didn’t know that this meant but now I am getting it. I am pretty much being reverted to my first memories alive. Other things are being stripped away as well, like my ability to contain my emotions, something that I worked hard on for many years.

The things that are left are raw emotions, impulsiveness, and untangled mind, and, strangely enough, two instincts. These two instincts are best defined as predatorial and territorial. Something else that is left is a form and an astral set of armor. The form is that of a Nemean Lion, which is the lion that Herakules had to kill on his challenges. This lion is golden of color, and is invincible from any external attacks. The lion was the first creature that I identified with in this life and it appears to be resurfacing as the “Base” of my soul. The “armor” is really a demonic exoskeleton that looks like a bone white, semi draconic, skeletal creature. A hollow from bleach might be a good discription minus the hole in it.  This armor is almost impenetrable and is immune to most internal attacks. 

The ritual master says that these are the base of my soul when created by the gods. Both seem to be nods to both my astral parents (a demon and an elf) and my creator parents (Hades and Hethert-Sekhmet). If this is indeed the base of my soul, I will build on this with confidence. I consider myself blessed to have been given this chance to have a fresh start and to build my soul without the insults and pains of being bullied. most of those pains have been stripped away and I cannot really recall what it was like.

Rules for Hunting

I have seen a lot of “How do defend yourself in the astral” blogs but I feel the need to inform the other group of people that go into the astral on quests or because of more private reasons.

Rule 1- Know what you hunt. I cannot stress this enough. This is possibly the most vital of all rules. Do your research, Know your target’s strengths and weaknesses no matter how small they may seem, and Know it’s domain. Don’t go anywhere until you KNOW EVERYTHING.

Rule 2-  Know your weapons. I am not just talking know how to use them, though that helps too. I am talking about know what else they are made for. A European blade with a cross hilt guard is was made for being stuck in the ground and praying over. You do that, and say a quick prayer over that blade for protection and boom, holy ground for about 10ft. until you pull it out of the ground. Asian silk can be used in some of the strongest binding spells and even can kill if you use the right spells. Garlic and onions and, hell, even rice can be used as an anti-demon weapon. Never fight a dragon with a sword and shield, go in with arrows and crossbows. Know your weapons, this is almost as important as know your prey.

Rule 3- Know the terrain and plan accordingly. If you are fighting in the snow use it to make hidden traps, if you are in the mountains, know where the caves are. If you are in an area with other creatures and lots of them, know which ones are out there, one might just help you because of a rivalry with what you are hunting.  Make plans. Make plans for your plans. Always have a fallback, and by fallback I mean a good point that you can easily start over from or a place that you can retreat too.

Rule 4- Don’t rush or loose your cool. Haste makes waste. If you panic, you tend to rush, when you rush, you make mistakes, when you make mistakes, the feces hits the rotational blades and you get covered. If you can keep your cool and keep to the fallback, then you can get out of almost any situation.

Rule 5- Don’t get personal. If you let a taunt or try to taunt and get personal then you risk people that you care about, even if they are not near you. Demons are notorious for trying to attack someone close to you to try to make you loose your cool. Don’t let them know about you. Keep a sealed lip.

Rule 6- Don’t talk to strangers. I know people are going to be like “Really?” for this one but, I am serious. You don’t know if that stranger is a friend or servant or master of what you are going after. Don’t accept help and don’t talk about what you are hunting. It may make things worse for you later on.

Rule 7- Don’t be afraid to run. I am serious. Running to a safe place could actually set you up for something that could actually save your life or even help you win. Running is not a cowardly thing, don’t get taunted into thinking it is. Other creatures will run from you if they can are know that they are loosing. Also Know where you are going when you run. Don’t just run off aimlessly.

Rule 8-  know your limits and make them last. I know people will want to use all of their strongest stuff first and end the fight quickly, but against a smarter foe, you will do nothing but exhaust yourself. Step up only when you have to. Get into a cozy pattern and drag the fight out if you have to. Just make yourself last. You may feel like you have a limitless supply of energy but it is not true. You will get tired eventually. So plan accordingly.

I know this sounds like a bunch of fantasy hublaa but it could just make your trip easier.
